Joshua Shultz
Dr. Joshua A. Schultz, PhD, PE, LEED AP is a licensed Professional Engineer and tenured Associate professor in structural and materials with specialized expertise in mass timber and cross‑laminated timber (CLT) material behavior, including shrinkage, cracking, moisture response, and manufacturing variability. His professional background uniquely combines advanced academic knowledge of materials science and wood fiber behavior with direct production responsibility for overseeing CLT and glulam manufacturing plants, quality assurance, and certification across multiple production facilities. His work is grounded in ANSI/APA standards, ISO‑aligned quality systems, and firsthand production oversight rather than theoretical assumptions alone.

Ariana holds the roles of system development, communications, media, outreach, and business support. She brings a host of experience to our team: from years of working within communications and development, a decade as a clinical social worker, while spending all free time hiking to high alpine lakes, she is overjoyed to blend her passion for supporting our client’s visions with her passion for building, design, and promoting a sustainable forest economy. Her commitment to collaboration and relationship building helps TWIG provide the critical role of connector within the industry.
